Bob Maxwell and Tim Mullally, partners in STYLE COUNSEL, have been the retail business for the past 15 years. Both formerly employed in Manhattan's garment center. Bob's resume boasts positions in stellar specialty shops such as Bonwit Teller, Macy's and Barney's and later as a designer and merchandiser fro several better manufacturers, most notably, the STYLE COUNSEL men's and women's lines.
Tim studied fashion in Paris and worked in several New York City showrooms in various capacities namely in sales, trade show coordination, public relations and merchandising.
The first STYLE COUNSEL store was opened in 1991 in the Legends Hotel in Vernon, N.J., formerly Hugh Hefner's Playboy Hotel. The following year they expanded to Warwick. They have been an anchor on Main Street since opening their current location in 1994. Their success is built on their ability to give their customers what they want, offering quality up to date merchandise at a great price and with excellent customer care.
Bob and Tim have a passion for fashion. They shop for you and they have something for everyone, from a pair of brogen in jeans, to a beaded ball gown. and if they don't have what you are looking for, they will try to find it for you. They usually stock sizes 2 - 16 and can order petite and plus sizes from select manufacturers.
When someone comes in for that special occasion outfit which, in turn, gets rave reviews, it keeps them coming back. "We love to hear success stories," they say.
Bob and Tim's mission is to interpret current fashion trends that are understandable and wearable. Style Counsel offers a large variety of career, casual, and special event clothing along with accessories for both men and women. Their large customer base extends from the small village of Warwick to the surrounding areas of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. They have built up quite a following, with customers more than willing to travel to Warwick for their expertise, fashion selection and customer service.
